I dagene 12-15. Februar 2026 arrangerte Kristkirken i Bergen konferansen “Ruts bok anno 2026”. I denne første episoden fra konferansen hører vi Guy Cohen, messiansk jøde og pastor i menigheten Katzir Asher (eng.: Harvest of Asher) i Akko, Israel. Guy blir tolket av Tarjei Gilje. I omtrent 20 år har det vært en relasjon mellom denne menigheten i Akko og Kristkirken i Bergen.

På første dag av konferansen “Ruts bok anno 2026”, ble Guy Cohen intervjuet (på engelsk) av Øyvind og Mona Furnes om sin bakgrunn og om situasjonen i Israel de siste årene. Guy hadde med seg Pavl (Pasha), en ung mann fra menigheten i Akko, og Pasha fikk også fortelle litt om seg selv. Avslutningsvis ble noen spørsmål fra deltakere besvart.

On the second day (February 13) of the conference “The book for Ruth as of 2026”, Kristkirken hosted a seminar on antisemitism. In this episode Pasha (interviewed in episode 168) shares his experiences and reflections as a Messianic Jew while being a soldier in the IDF when Hamas started its terrorist attack on October 7, 2023: The spiritual battle is more fundamental than the physical battle. Towards the end of the soundtrack Pasha gives his responses to a few follow up questions asked by the facilitator.
